Flight contract between Dana Air, Akwa Utd FC renewed



THE flight contract between Dana Air and AkwaUtd FC of Uyo, has been renewed with the aviation company avowing to support development in the state.
At the contract renewal ceremony which took place at the ultra-modern Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, head of media in the company, Kingsley Ezenwa, said the decision of Dana to renew the contract for another one year was due to the importance the company attaches to the football club.
Mr. Ezenwa, noted that Akwa United Football Club will always be supported by the airline because of the appreciative performance of the club, saying that the darling team finished superlatively good before the League was aborted by the League Management Company. (LMC)
Responding, Chairman of the club, Elder Paul Bassey, said Akwa United was excited when it heard that the airline was about renewing the contract as it will go a long way to help the team’s suffer less fatigue while honouring far away matches.
Bassey who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, further said the determination of the team to partner is in progress.
He further commended the state governor, MrUdom Emmanuel for accepting the flight contract and lauded him for all his contribution to the club.
