OYO State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has pledged to ensure that conducive and secured environment already established are maintained for corps members posted to the state.
The state governor gave the assurance in a message through the state Commissioner, Youth and Sports, Mr. Abayomi Oke, to the swearing-in ceremony of NYSC 2018 Batch C, Stream 2, of Oyo and Ogun States at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin.
Governor Ajimobi, while explaining that his administration would always prioritize the needs of the corps members, charged them to be law abiding during the service year.
In separate remarks, NYSC State Coordinator, Oyo State, Mrs. Olufunke Ambekemo and her counterpart from Ogun State, Mrs. Josephine Bakare, encouraged host communities to be hospitable to the youths and also called on the youth to maximize the opportunities in the mandatory national service.
1999 corps members, comprising 1261 from Oyo State and 648 from Ogun State swore the oath of allegiance.
