THE leadership of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has cautioned detractors of APGA on the frivolous and unwarranted media attack on their National Chairman, Chief victor Oye, by numbers of the party in Imo State.
Stan Okeke, the erstwhile media aide to senator victor Umeh said some politicians seeking relevance resort to cheap blackmail and character assassination to unseat their leaders.
A member of the party in Imo State, Tony Grey, had in an interview being circulated in the social media, among other allegations, said Chief Oye fraudulently levied members of the party who ran for various political positions on the party’s plat form.
The media aide described the allegation as baseless and actionable. He also stated that it was unfortunate and embarrassing that some Nigerian politicians are bent on pulling their own down to score cheap popularity, citing colossal crises in APC where the national chairman of the party is at the centre of the crises because of the way he allegedly conducted the party primaries.
He stated that Grey has no moral right in calling APGA helmsmen a failure but advised him to seek better ways of resolving his grievances with the party leadership.
