Xavi says his teams ‘won’t ever’ play like Mourinho’s teams

BARCELONA legend, Xavi has claimed that his future teams will never play the style of football that Jose Mourinho has implemented over his career.
The Portuguese boss has often set his teams up to be hard to beat and is considered to be a defensive manager.
That style of football has divided opinion during his time at Manchester United.
It wasn’t even long ago that reports started suggesting that his days at Old Trafford were numbered.
Though, he has since refound at least some form and looks set to remain as boss.
Now, Xavi has been speaking about the former Real Madrid boss and has claimed when he goes into management, his sides will never play the way Mourinho’s do.
That is simply because he doesn’t enjoy playing defensive football.
“Mourinho is a very defensive manager and playing against his Inter hasn’t been easy,” Xavi told Marca.
“That’s his football and he put it in practice even with Chelsea and Real.
“He cares about all the details, he shuts all the gaps and he doesn’t give you much space.
“I like another kind of football. It’s not a criticism to him, but I don’t enjoy playing football in that way and my teams won’t ever have that attitude.”
