Police nab ritualist with 11 human skulls



FEDERAL Capital Territory (FCT) police yesterday in Abuja, paraded a middle-aged man, identified as Azeez Yakub (aka Baba Muri) who was caught with 11 human skulls.
Other items found on the man who was also alleged to be a human parts dealer were fresh human bones, human hair, charms and powder suspected to be ground human bones.
Speaking while parading him before newsmen, FCT Force Spokesman, Jimoh Moshood said that the suspect was a notorious armed robber that ran a kidnapping syndicate that specialises in ritual killing, murder and exhumation of buried corpses from burial grounds in communities around Kwara State.
According to Moshood, the suspect usually removes skull, genitals, eyes, hairs and other vital organs of his victims which he sells to prominent people in Ilorin and other towns in Kware State for spiritual powers, adding that Baba Muri has confessed to have sold over 31 human heads before he was nabbed.
He also said that investigation has commenced into the matter with a massive manhunt for his accomplices and patrons who are on the run, particularly one Abdulfatai Kadri, a vigilante commander in Adeta Zone who Muri said introduced him into the business.
