CHAIRMAN of Anambra State Football Association (FA) and Member AFCON Organizing Committee, Dr Patrick ifeanyi Ubah has unveiled his grassroots football project/African Football.
Revolution Initiative tagged “One Family, One Footballer Project”, where he donated one million footballs to school children from the twenty-one council areas in Anambra State at the 30,000 capacity FC Ifeanyi Ubah international stadium, Nnewi.
The grassroots football project is a visionary initiative geared towards seeing every child play fantastic game and become great footballer like Kanu Nwankwo, Jay-Jay Okocha, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona, Pogba, etc.
The project which will help spur football passion in young minds will also help discover hidden creative talents.
The President, African Football Revolution Initiative, Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, while speaking at the unveiling ceremony which attracted la crème de – la- crème, maintained that the project is focused on ways to help every child grow as a confident player, and adding value to the society.
Football, vest and boots were distributed free of charge to each of the over 900,000 pupils that attended the ceremony.
