JANET Erdo Tyavyar, a 24 year old mother of three is in distress.
Janet who is from Benue State, but resides in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, has had her life in pains for six years due to an ailment called Neurofioma of the neck.
A brother to the patient, Mr. Emmanuel Erdo Tyavyar told National Light that his sister’s sickness has stressed and rendered the family poor. The family he stated has been taking her from one hospital to another.
The plight of her sister saw her taken to a teaching hospital in Markudi, Benue State, from where she was referred to National Hospital, Abuja. The hospital referred her to Jaypee Hospital, Lagos, where she was diagnosed with Neurofioma of the neck.
Doctors at Jaypee Hospital in Lagos said she would undergo surgery at its main hospital in India. The cost of the surgery, including other expenses would cost N6million.
Emmanuel, who is a farmer, noted that since her sister fell ill with tumour with her husband abandoning her, she has nobody to fall back than him and their aged mother, a farmer in the village. Their father, he said is late and they have nobody to turn to. He stated that Janet is their blood and that they cannot abandon her. He implored for urgent assistance for Janet to undergo surgery.
Emmanuel called on the government, corporate bodies, business people, religious organisations and spirited individuals to come to her aid to enable her undergo surgery at Jaypee Hospital in India.
