We’ll streamline inter-religious affairs in Anambra – Rev Onovo



PARISH Priest, St. Micheal and All Angels Anglican Church Ivite Aguleri, Rev Canon Emmanuel Onovo, has called on religious leaders across the state to shun discrimination and embrace love across denomination.
Canon Onovo made the appeal while briefing newsmen afte receiving his appointment letter as the Executive Assistant, (E. A) to Gov Obiano, at the Government House, Awka.
The Anglican Reverend stated the need to extend denominational love in propagating the word of God; the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The new Executive Assistant observed that the present administration under Gov Willie Obiano had bridged the gap and averted religious war among faithful of various denominations.
He commended Gov Obiano for attracting a new breathe of development in politics, touching every aspect of life.
According to him, “Anambra today is known for her robust socio economic activities. The state today, exports yam and various sets of vegetables. It’s a new dawn that was never in existence.
“In education, Anambra is the best. There is proper developmental strategy that differentiates the state from others.
“In Anambra East and West, Gov Obiano has embarked on massive road construction.
These areas of the state had been neglected by previous administrations, but today, development has crossed the communities to boost their agricultural activities.” Rev said.
While expressing his gratitude for the appointment, the E. A promised to sustain the tempo of peace in the state and embark on interdenominational services across local governments to harmonize and strengthen the love among Christians.
