“The working first lady of Anambra State is a gift to Ndi Anambra. An angel sent by God to dispense charity. She has remembered the widows, disabled and trained many people without jobs with skills and empowered them ’.
“I make bold to say this; she is a modern day Mother Theresa. She has been supporting her husband, Governor Obiano , ensuring a smile on his face. A man with a smile on his face is stable and can carry out his responsibilities effectively ’, Unachukwu said.
Similarly, Mrs. Chinyere Unachukwu eulogized the achievements of Mrs. Obiano through her pet project – Caring Family Enhancements Initiative [CAFE], ranging from establishing skill acquisition centers to building houses for the widows.
‘Osodieme, it gladdens our hearts to be associated with your numerous empowerment projects in Anambra State. You are a woman with a golden heart who identifies with the less privileged in the society ’, said Mrs. Unachukwu.
‘You are a modern day Mother Theresa. We have noted with keenness your passion and dedication to the welfare of the hungry, naked, unsheltered, sick and hopeless. You have given hope to the down trodden”, said Mrs. Unachukwu.
Mrs. Obiano, while presenting the relief materials, urged women to be self reliant and not to be ordinary house wives dependent on their husbands’ income.
She urged people including males and female to enlist in the ongoing free skill acquisition and empowerment program organized by her NGO through their town’s men and women president general.
“Women should be part of bread winning in the home. Don’t let your husband die of stress before their time. Register for free in the NGO and become self reliant,” said Mrs Obiano.
However, she advised women to remain submissive to their husbands after gaining financial freedom, saying that libration from suffering is not libration from husband.
Mrs Obiano encouraged pregnant women to be serious with antenatal and post natal immunization to maintain the recognition of Anambra State as the first in immunization campaign.
