Holy Ghost Diaconates ordain 14 Priests

THE Holy Ghost Diaconates has ordained 14 Priests and 10 Deacons. The priestly ordination which started with, Holy Mass was presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne, South Bend, Indiana, USA, His Excellency, Most Rev. Kevin Carl Rhoade, at St. Martins the Toures Catholic Church, Ihiala, last Saturday.
In his sermon, Bishop Rhoade urged the newly ordained priests and deacons to live Christ-like lives, who is the perfect example of every Christian. He encouraged them to imbibe humility and serve God in spirit and truth. “As priests you should live a life of emulation because you have been sacrificed to the church and God.”
One of the priests was ordained at his hometown Utuh, in Nnewi South Local Government Area, by the Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Hillary Odili Okeke. Bishop Okeke said this was to accord respect to Utu town, because the new Priest was the first Holy Ghost Priest Utuh has in their town.
In his homily, Bishop Okeke commended the parish for their love for God and charged the new priests to be worthy ambassadors of Christ. He prayed God to continue to uphold the parish and people of the community.
The ordination was graced by the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, among priests and monsignors, clergies, as well as many dignitaries across the country.
