CAA 2020: Algeria to host



Kenya conquers in Asaba
IN the closing ceremony of the just concluded Asaba CAA tournament, as tradition demands, Algeria was announced as the next country to host the next CAA in 2020.
The North Africans who managed to win 4 medals – 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze won the bid to host the prestigious championship.
Kenya came from behind on the last day of the tournament to win a total of 8 gold medals. This came as a surprise as Nigeria and the republic of South Africa were leading with 6 gold medals each before the last day.
Team Kenya won a total of 19 medals as champions followed by South Africa who won a total of 30 medals and were second in the tournament.
Nigeria the host of the event were were tied with Kenya with a total of 19 medals but with fewer gold medals.
However Liberia, Uganda, Congo and Lesotho shared the same rank, medals and same category as they all won one bronze each and are ranked 19th too.
