Anambra ends second round of national immunization

THE Second round of 2018 National Immunisation Plus Days has successfully ended Tuesday, in Anambra State.

The programe witnessed large turnout of people at the designated places.
In Orumba North Local Government and its environs, mothers and care givers came out en mass for their children to be immunized while the health teams arrived early at the health centres.

According to one of the health workers, Mrs Agnes Nwafor,” people are cooperative and oral polio vaccines (OPVs) and other routine antigens are administered to children between 0-59 months”.

While briefing the press prior to the exercise, Executive Secretary, Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency , Dr Chioma Ezenyimulu, stated that the essence of the programme was to interrupt and eradicate circulation of the polio virus in the state and country at l
