APGA set to capture Ekiti State

ALL Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Party is perfecting strategies to sweep the polls at the Ekiti State governorship election coming up this year.

According to a report, the APGA standard bearer for the election is Ambassador Ayodeyi Lawrence Ayodele, a former career diplomats and professional civil servant who served 35 years in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His vision is to put Ekiti back to work and a mission to achieve four objectives namely; to ensure high priority to agriculture and mining, rapid infrastructural development, and upgrading of education and health sectors

Speaking to the press at the Government House, Awka, the younger brother to the aspirant, John Ayodele said the people of Ekiti State are tired of the APC and PDP and needs transformation.

According to Dr. Ayodele, his brother’s conviction to contest under APGA is anchored on the fact that Anambra State is the only state in Nigeria that has proven true governance and enthroned a government that has put people’s welfare first above the governor’s interest.

He noted that APGA aspirant has signed a pact to 10,000 scholarships to Ekiti youths.

On his part, the general coordinator “Igbo bu Igbo” for APGA and for Governor Willie Obiano, Okpalaukwu Emejulu announced that the people of Ekiti kete in Ekiti State are predominantly ndigbo and therefore called on Governor Obiano to give his full support to the party to mobilize fully to capture Ekiti State this year.
