GOV. Obiano has expressed commitment toward executing legacy projects across Anambra.
The governor made the remark while inspecting the construction of Okpuno–Isuaniocha-Urum-Achalla road and bridges.
The Deputy Governor, Nkem Okeke, who represented Gov. Willie Obiano said that the road when completed would provide access link to surrounding communities.
He added that, it would also connect Awka North to the rest of the state.
The 16.2km road was awarded in 2013, and being handled by Grand Star Construction Ltd.
About 10km of the road has been asphalted while the remaining 6.2km has been undergoing earthwork pilling.
The Commissioner for Road Construction, Road Furniture and Maintenance, Mr Marcel Ifejiofor, said that the ministry would ensure strict supervision of the road and bridge construction.
The Chairman, Grand Star Construction Ltd., Leo Okoye, assured that they would overcome their major challenge in the bridge construction.
Okoye commended the governor for reposing trust in them and assured that the job would be completed within the next two months. (MO)
