Okorocha promotes all Imo workers

IMO State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has announced immediate promotion for all levels and category of workers in the Imo State Civil Service from their present grade levels to the next level.

The governor re-affirmed his willingness to affecting another round of promotion, if time permits.
The governor, who made these statements at the Imo Popular Heroe’s Square, Owerri, during this year’s celebration of the workers day, popularly known as “May Day” hinted that about salary structure, he would quickly implement what becomes the final say of the federal government.

 

Governor Okorocha told Imo workers that he was there to celebrate them, hence their day.
The governor congratulated Imo workers for being dedicated to duty, he said that the rescue mission government in the state wouldn’t have achieved all these land mark projects and programmes without the workers. While recounting the contributions of the civil servants on the growth and progress of the state, the governor described civil service as a pivot on which the state administration rotates.

Earlier in his speech, the governor called on the civil servants to ensure they register and obtain voter’s card as to qualify to choose who becomes Imo next governor, as the present administration winds up May, 2019.

 

In his speech, the Chairman Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) in Imo State, Austin Chilakpu promised the support of Imo work-force to the present administration in the state, he called on his colleagues to ensure they have voters card as to be able to add their respective voices in choosing successor for Okorocha, come 2019 general election.

 

He commended Governor Okorocha for sustaining free education in the state.

The governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, also handed a cash gift of N1m to a pregnant woman who excelled at the March pass.
