A WOMAN, who poses as a hotel operator and simply identified as Ifunanya has landed in police dragnet for allegedly engaging young girls in sex contract in Ogidi, Anambra State.
National Light reporter gathered that the two girls (names withheld), were said to have been brought from Kaduna on the pretext that they were going to Ogidi to learn hairdressing business.
Amarachi, (the proprietor), who plies her trade in Kaduna was said to have deceived the girls that they will going to Ogidi as apprentice hair dressers to Ifunanya, but it tuned out for the victims who are between the ages of 16 and 19 to be lured into sex business by the suspect.
Sources said that Ifunanya collected monies upfront from her clients and delivered the girls to hotel rooms where they were forced to satisfy her clients (men) with sex.
Our sources further disclosed that when the girls became uncomfortable with the business, as it was not what they set out for in the first instance, they raised alarm which attracted the attention of neigbours.
“We normally see these girls around, believing they came down for a programme until they started having issues with their mistress, Ifunanya.
The screeming of one of the girls attracted the attention of local security who promptly alerted the police in Ogidi.”
Confirming the incident, the state police image maker, SP Nkeiru Nwode stated that the suspect has been arrested while the two girls have been rescued.
