ANAMBRA State Agency for Mass Literacy Adult and Non-Formal Education (AANFE) has released the 2017 Post-Literacy Adult and Non-Formal Education Completion Certificate Examination (PLANCCE) results.
The results were officially released by the agency in the 21 Local Government Areas (LGA) in the state on Jan. 19.
The Ag Executive Secretary and Director of the Agency for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, Mr Donatus Nwosu, noted that 3,954 adults registered for the examination, while 2,946 sat for the examination.
“PLANCCE is equivalent of the First School Leaving Certificate Examination (FSLCE), and is meant for all adults, who for one reason or the other did not attend formal education in their infancy,” Nwosu remarked.
Nwosu said that no failure was recorded in the examination rather there was 92 per cent pass.
He commended the unit heads and facilitators in the 21 LGAs, for their audacious support to the agency and learners.
The Ag Director thanked Gov. Willie Obiano for providing the enabling environment across the centres and for prompt payment of stipends to facilitators across the state.
Nwosu also commended the Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kate Omenugha for her motherly disposition as well as her humane way of piloting affairs of AANFE in the state.
